KISA is a Melbourne, Victoria-based company founded in 2013 by three entrepreneurs:
Dmitry Levin (CEO), Dennis Volodomanov (CTO), and Leon Kosher (CFO).
The company was founded after co-founder Dmitry Levin's grandfather became lost and was unable to use his smartphone to call for help.
The company's mission is to make mobile technology affordable and accessible for everyone.
They specialise in creating simple, easy-to-use communication devices and services for the elderly, people with disabilities, and children.
KISA has designed its products in collaboration with major associations that support people with disabilities and the visually impaired, such as Vision Australia and Guide Dogs Victoria.
KISA has received recognition for its work, including winning the October 2014 Momentum/3AW Small Business awards and a City of Melbourne grant.
Their products have also been featured on Australian news programs like Channel Nine News and Studio 10, and appeared on the TV Show Shark Tank Australia.
