Accommodation
HomeStay Support services support people at risk of homelessness to maintain their tenancies. Support aims to assist clients to avoid homelessness and maintain independence through increased access to relevant services and social support, including families, friends and the wider community, and by supporting clients to address issues that put their tenancies at risk.
HomeStay Support services provide support to clients, both:
1. before homelessness: early intervention support to prevent homelessness; and
2. after homelessness: support after an episode of homelessness, once independent living has been achieved to prevent a return to homelessness.
NOTE: HomeStay is not a crisis accommodation service. People who do not have a current tenancy are generally not eligible for HomeStay Support and should be referred to appropriate crisis services
