Group and one to one care for postnatal women including parenting, growth and development, breastfeeding advice and support. Family and infant risk assessment for infants 0-8 weeks aiming for brief intervention and appropriate referral as required. Support new mums / dads / carers to meet and greet and develop supportive relationships with peers. Provide health promotion information and access to reference material. Provide postnatal contact (telephone) to women who have birthed at Cairns Base Hospital but living in surrounding districts.
