Arthritis Queensland have information services, peer support services and online exercise programs available which can help people connect with others living with arthritis: • Three different online support groups for people living with any type of arthritis. These groups are run via Facebook and are closed, moderated groups. • Telephone-based support service, Arthritis Assist, where we can connect people with a volunteer who lives with arthritis. The volunteer (Peer-Mentor) will then be in touch with them by phone and can organise some further follow up calls. • Range of arthritis booklets available either by downloading as PDF or posted as hard copies. These booklets can help people learn more about how to manage their arthritis condition. • Online 12-week exercise program ‘Arthritis Moves’ – with qualified exercise physiologists. • Online 10-week dance program ‘Dance for Arthritis’ – with professional instructors from the Queensland Ballet. • Online 12-week ‘Tai Chi for Arthritis’ program – with qualified Tai Chi Master Trainers. • Monthly online webinars that cover various topics surrounding arthritis. • Subscribe to our fortnightly E-news.
