The SBYHN will provide individual confidential health consultations for students, parents and members of the school community. These health consultations will include the provision of advice and health information; early detection of actual or potential problems with the provision of brief interventions and/or referral as appropriate. The SBYHN does not provide medical treatment or therapeutic counseling. With the consent of the client, the SBYHN will work collaboratively with the school's student support services team or other community services and agencies to address contemporary health and social issues impacting on their health and well-being in accordance with relevant guidelines.
