The Infant Massage Information Service (IMIS) is the biggest provider of infant massage training and has the largest membership base for infant massage instructors within Australia. Programs offer the most in-depth information available on massage and touch therapy for infants, pre-term infants, infants suffering from wind, colic, constipation and reflux. The service can be of assistance in providing information on baby massage techniques, recommendations, fact sheets, certificate training, or any other matter relating to massage for infants and children.

Eligibility

No referral required. Appointment required. No waiting list. Not Applicable
No prior training or qualifications are required for the Certified Infant Massage Instructor(CIMI) qualification. Wanting the Paediatric Massage Consultant (PMC) qualification and wondering if you meet the prerequisite requirements? If your qualifications fall under the categories of health, allied health, natural therapies or education, you meet the prerequisite requirements for the paediatric level qualification. Some examples of qualifications that meet the prerequisite requirements for the PMC qualification are included below (please note, this is not a full list). Examples of health qualifications approved for PMC: Nurse, midwife, aboriginal health worker, community health worker, retired nurse, child & family practitioner, paediatric nurse, maternal/child health nurse, neonatal nurse, paediatrician, medical doctor. Examples of allied health qualifications approved for PMC: Doula, childbirth educator, lactation consultant/educator, science degree

Charges and Fees

Private
We accept payment by cash, bank transfer (payment required prior to consultation), EFTPOS and credit Prepayment is required. For organisations, government departments and area health services registering individuals for training, a purchase order can be submitted to via email to hello@babymassage.net.au and an invoice will be issued for prepayment. Online registration is not required for students who are having course fees paid this way.
