Counselling Service, HCC - Allied Health, Way to Wellness Program
headspace provides support for young people aged between 12 and 25 years old, across four core streams: mental health, psychical health, including sexual health, work, school, and study as well alcohol and other drugs. We are all about helping young people get through their tough times in a safe environment. headspace Bundaberg has a youth-friendly general practitioner (GP) who can support you with any physical health issues. Our GP can also help you with issues related to contraception, sexual health, relationship problems, or if you’re feeling down or upset. We understand that asking for help when you're not feeling yourself can be difficult or uncomfortable, because of this, we have made our referral process as easy as possible. There are several ways you can access our services at headspace Bundaberg: • You can refer yourself • You can have a friend or family member refer you • Your GP can refer you • Your school, TAFE, University, or other service provider can refer you If you are under 16 years of age, we encourage you to bring along a parent or guardian for your first appointment. If you need support while we’re closed, eheadspace.org.au is a confidential, free* and secure online or phone option for young people and their family to connect with qualified youth mental health professionals. eheadspace.org.au phone and webchat operate from 9am to 1am AEDT, 365 days a year: Webchat or email at eheadspace.org.au Phone 1800 650 890 *calls from mobiles attract normal call charges
