The Skills To Enable People and Communities (STEPS) Program is service arm of the Acquired Brain Injury Outreach Service (ABIOS). It is a Queensland-wide information and skills program for adults aged 18-65 years with Stroke or Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and their families and friends. The STEPS Program aims to improve community life for people with ABI and their families, by connecting people together and fostering a sense of strength and ability. Eligibility

Referral required. Appointment required. Waiting list.
Adults aged 18 - 65 years who have experienced an adult onset acquired brain injury residing in Queensland and their families/significant support who are seeking to connect with others who have experienced an ABI. Group programs offered in metropolitan and regional centres. Referrals welcome from individuals/family or health professionals. Phone or email steps@health.qld.gov.au for referral form.
