Arafmi provides support services to carers across Queensland, and provides community services to NDIS participants across South-East Queensland .
Carer support services
As the peak body for unpaid mental health carers in Queensland, Arafmi advocates for systemic reforms to government and service providers. Arafmi provides free support, education and practical assistance for people caring for someone experiencing mental ill-health. This includes:
• 24-hour Carer Support Line: 1300 554 660
• One on one tailored support
• Facilitated support groups (face to face and online)
• Workshops and information sessions (face to face and online)
• Culture Care – Support for multi-cultural carers in their language (in partnership with World Wellness Group)
• Carer related information, community linking and connection
• Carer respite accommodation in Teneriffe, Brisbane.
Community services
Arafmi is a registered NDIS provider, offering a range of community services to NDIS participants throughout South-East Queensland. Our dedicated team are passionate about understanding your needs and goals to customise support services that suit you,
to make sure you get the most out of your NDIS plan.
This includes:
Core Supports
• Assistance with daily living
• Transport and travel support
• Consumables
• Assistance with social and community participation
• NDIS respite accommodation.
Capacity Building Supports
• Support coordination
• Specialist support coordination
• Improved living arrangements
• Increased social and community participation
• Improved relationships
• Improved daily living skills.
