Our services are available to private patients of all ages, Worker’s Compensation clients, Medicare (EPC) clients, Veterans and Third Party Insurance clients as well as other funding providers. At Caboolture Physical Therapy Centre, we value our reputation as being ‘hands-on’ therapists. Physiotherapy is based on evidence-based scientific research and our physiotherapists are dedicated to delivering the best possible outcomes. Pilates is an exercise style that uses a series of slow, low impact exercises to help improve core stability, flexibility and body awareness. The main focus is developing ‘core’ strength by recruiting our body’s main stabilising and postural muscles. These muscles engage together to form a ‘natural corset’ to support the spine. Developing core stability will help with the rehabilitation of neck, back and many other injuries and can help prevent re-occurrence or further injury.
As all our Pilates instructors are registered Physiotherapists or Exercise Physiologists, you may be eligible to receive a rebate from your private health fund. To ensure the class is suited to you, we advise arranging an initial assessment appointment with one of our Pilates trained Physiotherapists.
Classes are held at Caboolture Physical Therapy Centre, in a purpose built exercise studio. Aquatic Physiotherapy (or Hydrotherapy) is physiotherapy in a pool environment. We use the properties of the water and a variety of treatment approaches (including manual therapy and exercise) to address a wide range of conditions and therapeutic goals. The buoyancy in the pool can be used to assist or resist movement, which is not possible out of the water. The pool we use is heated to about 32 degrees to help warm up your muscles and facilitate your body’s movement.
The Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist will prescribe and monitor a program of specific exercises or techniques to be performed in an individual session. An exercise class is also provided to increase muscle tone, range of motion and cardiovascular fitness. This may involve equipment such as pool noodles and weights.
We use the facilities at Caboolture Swimming Pool on King Street, Caboolture. If you have been referred to aquatic physiotherapy by one of our therapists, please sign the register at the pool’s reception area. Any queries, please speak to one of our team.
