Foundations Care Queensland is a community program funded by the Department of Child Safety to provide a licensed foster and relative (kinship) care service or shared family care service.
We are funded to provide family based alternative care placements across the Browns Plains, Beaudesert and Logan regions.
We are managed by the Foundations Child and Family Support Management Committee, a group of volunteers who oversee the operations of a number of community programs.
Foundations Care Queensland recruit, trains, assesses and supports families in order to ensure quality out of home care services to children and young people with protective needs. Our main goal and hope is that carers through our service can provide support and stability to a child or young person until they are able to return home or require permanency planning.
