Friends of Brain Injured Children (FOBIC) was established to help families cope with caring for a brain injured child or adult at home, and also in their commitment to undergoing an intensive, home based therapy program designed to alleviate or reduce the symptoms of brain injury. The services provided by FOBIC include: Host quarterly assessments of brain injured children undergoing home therapy programs developed by Ian Hunter of Neuro Developmental Therapy Programs (formerly the Australian Centre for Brain Injured Children); Provision of equipment, aids and literature; Holidays and respite assistance; Public education through seminars, media, newsletters, brochures, etc; Organise social activities; Hosting of pottery classes at Munro Street for a paraplegic group.
