The Healthy Hearing Program includes the following services: Newborn Hearing Screening - A free hearing screening service for Australian eligible newborn babies provided by maternity hospitals. - Available to babies birthed in Qld or admitted from northern NSW for ongoing care in neonatal nursery. - Also accessible for families who have chosen a homebirth option. - Outpatient screening by appointment, contact nearest public maternity facility to arrange hearing screen. - Ideally completed within 1 month of birth for term babies. Community Hearing Screening - Free hearing screening for eligible children and young people from 9-months to 16-years of age. - Accessible by appointment in selected community clinics.
