Our purpose is to provide home delivered, nutritious meals to frail aged persons, younger people with disabilities and their carers so that they may remain healthy and secure in their home, reducing the risk of premature or inappropriate institutionalisation.
The outcomes pursued by Cairns Meals on Wheels are that:
People who are frail aged or disabled can remain in their own homes;
The family or other primary carers are supported in their roles;
The service provided best meets the needs of clients;
The service operates in an effective, efficient and accountable manner.
We also deliver to you, if you are able to be home (or at work) and receive the meal from our Volunteers between the hours of 11am and 1pm you are eligible to enjoy our top quality meals. Our Meal Packages cater for your Lunch & Dinner needs.
Where else can you get a hot soup, hot main, yummy dessert and a Bread Roll starting from $10. Sandwiches, Salads available.
