Queensland Health's role in responding to recent victims of sexual assault is to provide medical care, forensic examinations, crisis counselling and information. There are a range of health and counselling services available across Queensland Health, such as sexual health, mental health (including the Victim Support Service), alcohol, tobacco and other drugs service (ATODS) and community health services. Free counselling is available for adult victims of sexual assault.
