Welfare Services
The main function of the registries is to receive documents for filing, to maintain the court's records, and to perform all necessary administrative work associated with the court. Registry staff cannot provide legal advice. However we can provide advice about practices and procedures of the court and registry. The Registry processes matters in relation to: Criminal and quasi criminal matters; Civil matters including QCAT Minor civil disputes; Domestic Violence applications; Justice of the Peace. The registry has staff available and also private volunteers to perform this service. We also provide service as agent for: Birth Deaths and Marriages: To obtain birth, death and Marriage certificates. The Registry also conducts Marriage ceremonies. State Penalties Enforcement Registry: for the payment of fines.
