Sands Psychology has two Clinical Psychologists: Dr. Melissa Sands (clinic principal) and Ms. Josephine Scott.
Melissa is a clinical psychologist and clinical geropsychologist, who is fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, is eligible for Fellowship of ARS (Clinical Psychology Association), and is a Medicare-registered provider of clinical psychology services. She also offers employment-related supervision support.
Melissa currently works at Sands Psychology from Tuesday to Thursday (face-to-face or telehealth) and can offer limited after-hours appointments.
Josie is a Clinical Psychologist, fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society's Clinical College and is a Medicare-registered provider of psychology services. Josie has completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology and also offers supervision of psychology students/registrars etc., and employment-related supervision support.
Josie is currently available Mondays, and intermittent Thursday evenings (via telehealth), Fridays, and Saturday mornings.

Sands Psychology requires payment before the session, and accepts payment via credit card (no AMEX), direct debit or private health care cards. Clients with private health cover for psychological therapy may claim at the time of payment.
If you are referred by a GP under a Mental Health Treatment Plan, or by a psychiatrist or paediatrician, then a Medicare rebate will be available for (up to) 10 consultations per calendar year. Bulk billing may be available depending on circumstance.

A free bus service operates within Brisbane CBD and Spring Hill. The Spring Hill Loop travels to Bus Stop 134 'Watkins Place', next door to the building. Central train station is about 200 metres away.

We accept debit and credit cards, direct debit or cash. We do not accept AMEX. Clients can use a Private health fund card to claim with their provider in-office. We can process in-office Medicare rebates onto debit cards only. Please call reception to discuss fees.
