At Rural Sky, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker Katherine Johnstone provides professional, compassionate therapy and skills-based support to individuals, couples, families, children, and self-managed NDIS participants across rural and regional Australia. With over a decade of experience and a strong connection to rural life, Katherine offers practical, evidence-informed care to help people navigate challenges and move toward greater clarity, connection, and fulfilment.
Therapy is tailored to your needs and may draw on a range of approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Theraplay-informed practice, Circle of Security, and the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy.
Support is available for a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, parenting stress, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. Skills training is also available in communication, emotional regulation, resilience, and interpersonal relationships.
Rural Sky offers individualised support and wellbeing workshops for rural workplaces, delivered on-site, in-office, or online. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) arrangements are available. Katherine also facilitates community workshops focused on building insight, connection, and mental wellbeing.
You don’t need a diagnosis to benefit from therapy. If something in your life isn’t working, support is available to help you take practical steps toward a more fulfilling life—one that’s guided by what truly matters to you.
