Our expert therapists can design a personalised rehabilitation program for you and your condition taking into account your situation. Some of the Rehabilitation techniques used can include:
- personalised exercise programs
- graded return to activity in the work, sporting or home environment
- soft tissue massage
- the use of dry needling - for pain management and trigger point release
- taping - kinesotape (such as Rock tape, Dynamic tape etc), sports, scar, oedema (swelling)
- electrotherapy - ultrasound, tens
- bandaging and compression garments - for oedema management
- splinting - for protection, pain relief, support and function
- casting - for fracture management, improving joint range of movement, for hypertonicity
- wound care and suture removal
- scar management (using massage, tapes, silicons and ultrasound)
- nerve gliding - for nerve compressions and injuries
- strengthening - using a series of hand held weights, therapeutic putty, resistive theraband
- activity modification - changing the way an activity is done to achieve a painfree outcome
- prescription of assistive devices - including long handled aides, built up grips and improved er-gonomics
- sensory retraining for nerve injuries or conditions that can result in loss of or an unpleasant in-crease in sensitivity of the skin
- fine motor skills therapy for children and adults with a variety of developmental or nervous sys-tem conditions such as Cerebral Palsy or after a Stroke
